The Last Mile of Care: What Kenya's Community Health Workers Are Missing
Abstract
Kenya fields roughly 100,000 Community Health Promoters who visit households monthly, yet much of the data they collect does not reach a usable system. This paper examines the last-mile gap in community health and describes what a well-instrumented community-health system would look like — one that captures, transmits, and acts on household-level data rather than letting it disappear.
